TODO(contenu EN) — placeholder English copy. The Figma file carries no English version of this page: this body mirrors the structure and the substance of the French one paragraph for paragraph, and has not been validated as the reference wording. It is demonstration content, not a survey.

The two amphitheatres originally opened into one another to form a single room. A fixed partition now separates them for good. While the grand amphitheatre was intended for conferences and formal sessions, the small amphitheatre hosted ordinary classes. Its ornament is very restrained, in wood panelling. The raised tiers could seat eighty people overlooking a large demonstration bench from which professors ran their experiments. After refurbishment, the capacity of the small amphitheatre is reduced to fifty visitors.

Originally part of the stage of the Grand Amphithéâtre, the Petit Amphithéâtre retains a layout of its own that gives it an intimate, singular atmosphere. Thanks to its historic tiers and its modular floor, it can host up to 40 participants for meetings, screenings, workshops or small-format talks.

Particularly valued for its discretion, this space can also be arranged as a speakers’ green room, a production office or a preparation area during events held in the Grand Amphithéâtre. Linked to the stage by a discreet passage, it makes it easy for speakers to come and go. For larger events it complements the other reception spaces and hosts buffets or convivial moments in a warm, hushed atmosphere, appreciated for its “speakeasy” feel.
